My wife Gina went into the magic room and removed a deck of poker sized playing cards, a Superman action figure, and a pair of dice.

My first routine that came to mind:
Superman not only saves the World on a daily basis, but he is also a pretty good magician. Want me to prove it? Here...shuffle the cards. I'll cover his eyes so he cant see anything. Fan the cards out so we can make sure that they are truly mixed! Take either of the dice and give it a few rolls. Now give the second die a few rolls. Great! Now choose either of the two die and add the top and bottom numbers together.  Hold the deck face down and count down to the card that corresponds to the number you got when you added the spots from the die. Both Superman and I will turn away while you do this. Once you memorized your card put it back in the deck and give the pack a good shuffle or two. I'm going to turn around and take the deck from you...and ribbon spread it face-up on the table. Look, Superman is flying over the cards looking ready for action...it looks like he is ready to make a landing ...could it be...has he landed on the card you selected? I told you he was good!!!

Most of you will figure out the method by reading the corny patter...if not PM me and I'll explain it.
Hopefully we get some better routines by then!

That's great, Dan [smile]

If she happened to pick one of your marked decks (aren't they all marked anyway?), it would've been that much better. You could adjust the effect so that, is ing his x-ray vision, Superman knows the identity of the card while it's face down!

Dan -- OK, I'll jump in. Talk about Superman's well-documented physical powers but also his relatively unknown MENTAL powers (including being able to see into the future) while shuffling the cards. During the shuffle, secretly glimpse one card value/suit and position it 11th from the top of the deck. To demonstrate Superman's super ESP ability, pretend to listen to Superman as you secretly (but openly) write down the noted card value on the back of your business card; fold it and hand to spec for safe-keeping. Ask the spec to roll the dice.

If the dice total is 10, deal 10 cards from the deck to the table face-down and turn the next card over; if 11, deal 11 cards and turn the top card of the pile over. Finish by revealing "Superman's" predicition -- a perfect match!

If 12, deal 12 cards face-down, then place the pile ON TOP of the deck. Reveal the predicition, then turn over the top card (INCORRECT) and display, holding it in your RH. Remind everyone that Superman had XRAY vision and in these rare circumstances could easily melt the ink on any card; at the same time, secretly secure a break under the top card of the deck in your LH. Place the incorrect card face up onto the deck, and perform Giobbi's FLIP FLOP Change (or the Pivot Change, or ShapeShifter Change), changing the incorrect card into a match of the prediction!

For ANY other dice total (and this force -- unsure of it's origin or name -- works best between 4-9), ask the spec to deal cards face-down while counting DOWN from 10, but stopping at the dice number. Assume stopped at 7; remind spec that this is a truly random number, and ask spec to CONTINUE by dealing/adding that number of cards (in this case, 7) to the pile (arriving automatically at the original 11th card from the top of the deck). Reveal the prediciton, and ask spec to turn over the top card of the pile for a perfect match. "Superman has saved the day once again!".

Please forgive the long explanation for a very simple idea. Not the best, but I think it would be amusing for an audience. Best I could do after only one cup of morning coffee! johnny

Thanks for sharing the idea Johhny! Interesting variation for a dice force. I can think of some other possibilities where it might be applied.

My wife tried to persuade me to come with an idea that isn't a card reveal...I haven't even had my first cup of coffee this morning so I have an excusefor not coming up with something. Help me out if you get an idea or two!

THIS IS A CARD REVELATION.

Put a breather crimp in one card. Place this card on the bottom of the deck.
Shuffle the cards maintaining the breather on the bottom.
Table the deck.
Introduce the dice and have spekkie roll them.
They can now choose a number according to the dice.
EX: 4 and  6
They can count down 4 cards, or 6 cards. They can add the numbers together and count down 10 cards or they can multiply the two together and count down 24 cards.
Let them choose and count. Look at the last card dealt.
You take the remainder of the deck. Cut the top half to the table. Have the returned and then place the bottom half on top of the deck.
The breather is now on top of the selected card.
Now you use the Superman figure to find the selected card by effectively hitting the side of the deck with the figure to make it move thereby cutting the deck at the selected card. (You're going to have to play around with the "hit" to find the correct way to hit the deck with the figure. I don't even know how big it is.

This is NOT a card revelation.

Make a box (no top hinge) out of playing cards.
https://snapguide.com/guides/make-a-gift-box-out-of-playing-cards/

I'm not sure how big the Superman figure is, but if you can make the box so that the figure fits into it, great.

You can now show the box mouth down, pick it up and reveal a die.
Take the die with the opposite hand, put the box back on the table loading the other die under it.
Vanish the die using your favorite method that keeps it in your loading hand.
Lift box to show die has returned.
Repeat as many times as desired, when you want to end, say you're going to make this harder by placing the die in your pocket and just as quick, the die returns.
Load Superman under box.
Place die in pocket again and go into the finale revealing Superman.

HOLY CHRISTMAS! I love all the creative thinking around here! Who needs Penguin Magic when we have the type of thinkers who contribute to stuff like this!

Thanks again to Rudy, Johnny, and Evil D.
