Hi Everyone,

We had a great first day at the Magician's Forum LIVE! George McBride and Steve Reynolds gave excellent lectures with a lot of great magic for us to think about and work on.

We also had some surprise guests join us for Trini Montes' "Move Monkey Session"! Paul Cummins, Mike Powers, and John Guastaferro demonstrated some great card moves and tricks, while Jason England gave us a behind-the-scenes look at some deceptive tools of the gambling trade. His stories were fascinating!!

If you missed it, don't worry. You can still get in on the fun! Everything was recorded and available for download. Plus, we still have a full day ahead of us with lectures from John Bannon and Jason Dean!!

As members of our community, your ticket is only $7 (Price goes up to $15 after the event). Get your tickets at http://www.basicsofmagic.com and don't forget to use the coupon code "TMF" to receive your discount.

See you then!!

Yes, Ray. He started an hour late (miscommunication of some sort, probably regarding time zones), but gave a great lecture.

Cool. I met him in Kansas City several years ago and enjoyed the meeting. He has some serious chops.

Jason is great. I think his card case gaff was worth the price of admission. I bought it from him years ago when it first came out. It's a real worker's tool. Jason is also one of the nicest guys in magic. He has a very positive vibe. I got to see him fry Bill McComb with his "card to nipple ring." That's a trick that's not in my repertoire. But it fits Jason very well.

He kept it pretty sleight-light for us, but had some great approaches to creating clear, magical effects with minimal handling. His lecture paired well with John Bannon's in that regard. Great personality, too, as Mike Powers said. I'm sure you'll enjoy it on the replay.
