I finally got to meet Tom Gagnon at the Genii Convention.  Besides being a nice guy, his magic will knock you on your @ss.  Every name there sessioned with him. David Ben, John Carney, Mike Close, JJ Sanvert, Bernard Bilis, and countless others.  Many just shook their heads. I missed a number of events just watching Tom work.  He's got a new book coming out also. Definitely worth looking into any of his books.
"Too Hot for the Devil" and "Avant Cards" are his two latest.

Tom (the other Tommy G), t

Thanks for the compliments. It's always nice to hear that people enjoy what I have to offer. I enjoyed meeting you and spending time getting to know you. You are first class. Re my books. Avant-cards is still available on my website.

Best regards,

Tommy G (the older one).

And this whole time I thought Tom G was Gagnon himself.

I'll admit to being in the identity swap group, but Tom G and I have sorted it out. He's one of my "Forum Friends" now.

There are some very impressive reviews of Tom’s books over at his website.

One of the reviewers mentioned that much of the material in Avant-Cards is best suited for when the performer is seated at a table. Could it be adjusted for walk around situations?

Yep the people posting reviews on Tom's book is a who's who of card magic.  Yes, seated, but if you can do spreads standing (ie room)... Tom did his stuff standing also.

Most of my material requires a large close-up pad. Therefore, it makes walk around somewhat difficult. But one can perform the material either seated or standing. Personally, I have always preferred to perform while standing. Even when I session I tend to stand.

I've personally seen Tom Gagnon perform some of his material at the TRICs convention back in 2013 during a super late night jam session (I left at around 5:00 because I was tired beyond belief, but Tom didn't seemed phased at all). I bought his book the next day.
