Interesting article. Card to mouth might not be allowed, but maybe instead card to behind face mask might be good, it might even be more impressive? Customized face masks would also be a good idea so many tricks/reveals could be adapted for Customized face masks.

Color-changing face mask.  Card reveals, for sure.  Someone will jump on board.

Thanks for the video, it looks quite good. I would like to see someone come up with the whole mask changing colour. It could be used as a visual piece of Magic on it's own, or maybe even change the colour secretly during another trick and when the audience next looked up they would be thinking I'm sure that mask was black a minute ago and now it's green, to get the what is going on type of effect.

Another way to present it would be to look down at the table then when you look up it has changed. Sort of like card to forehead.

Yeah, that's kinda how I imagined it in my mind, the audience notes the mask colour, you then change the colour, but pay no attention to it and just ignore the reactions act just like nothing has changed. So the audience would be thinking that mask changed colour but wasn't 100%. Then at the end of the performance change the colour again and this time draw a lot of attention to the change.

I just bought a color changing face mask, from black to white; other color combinations are available.  I'll probably only use it to prank cashiers while I wait in the grocery store checkout line.  My source was

That's a great idea! Thanks for the link. I'm hoping one day someone will create a colour changing face mask that will have a visual change similar to the flap card gimmick.
