Wondering what Camera's do you use to video tape your close-up magic.Want to practice with a camera the 3 way mirror has limited viewing area and thought the camera would be a better option. Do you use web camera or video camera? Looking for ideas.

Thanks

I actually got a tripod for my phone and use that camera. It is a better camera than the one on my computer.

Same here. Almost all of the videos that I make for Reel Magic Magazine are with my iPhone.
I have a decent tripod and a LED lighting thingamajig, but other than that, nothing fancy.

It’s great that you want to move past a simple mirror and use video to record your practice sessions. I feel that they give a more accurate picture of your abilities.

Rudy I have seen your videos on Reel Magic and can't believe  that you used a iPhone They look like professional video camera videos. How do you edit the videos?

Thanks for the reply

The iPhone cam is awesome. People are making movies using an iPhone (or Android equivalent) that are amazing.

Kindle fire is to old won't do videos. My cell phone is a LG and works great. I didn't know I could flip picture to my side to take pictures or videos Just bought a LED light ring last week for extra light in Magic Cave. It has a magnifying glass in the center getting old. Waiting on my tripod and I'll be ready to go.Funny how much better cell phone video are then computers and security cameras. Did some tests last night and noticed my break flashes.

Thanks Again

I just ordered this one at B&H to go with my other older Canon camcorder.

Refurbs have same warranty as new models and this model is on sale for just over $100.
Livestream or record to SD card.

YouTube reviews give it high marks.

I hate apple products, but their iPhone camera is actually excellent.  The only Apple product I have is my work phone and my wife's tablet (which the kids took over).

I used to record myself on an old webcam or Hi-8 camcorder, but now, I just use my LG G7 (or whatever android phone I have) camera.
All of it is better than my Hi-8 camcorder or webcam.  When I join the Saturday Sessions, I just use my LG G7 and a goose-neck lamp fixture that I have.
