This event is explained HERE

I just heard about this. Looks like it could be relevant to the working magicians on the forum.

Specific place in South Bend IN are referred to, but it appears to be a nationwide effort.

On September 1,  #WeMakeEvents, a coalition of artists, businesses, unions, and live events workers, will light up their venues, homes, and cities red across the U.S. to raise public and media awareness in support of the live events sector. It is estimated that 96% in the Live Events Industry are currently unemployed, furloughed, or have lost up to 90% of their income since the start of the pandemic.

The River Lights, South Bend Civic Theatre, Morris Performing Arts Center, DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, and Century Center will all light up red in support of the events industry.

Every light matters, so whether it's your room, your house, your venue, or your business, light it red! Post your photos on social media using the hashtags #WeMakeEvent, #RedAlert, #ExtendPUA, and #SaveOurStages.
Buildings will go RED on Tuesday evening, September 1, from 9:00 p.m. - 12:00 am..
