Like a memorized deck for example.

I used to do Ackerman's Opener on his Las Vegas Card Expert vhs tape, but I forgot it as I quit practicing the routine. I learned it the hardway, just straight memorizing each card as I went along.

It interesting that I learned how to read the tarot which has 78 cards and 78 different meanings. Tarot is very popular these days. And I haven't forgot any of the cards meanings.

So, as your going about to memorize a full deck of cards, what is the thought process you have, does it seem insurmountable or, daunting.

I used to do Sal's Memory Opener from his DVD Sal Piacente's Expert Card Magic for my Gambling demo, so I know people are impressed by this kind of thing.

How long does it take to memorized a full deck of 52 cards ? Or, to memorize anything that is a large amount of information like magic squares and such ?

Rick,

Get Harry Lorayne's The Memory Book!!! Not just for magic, but for everything else, too.

For whatever it's worth, it took me a few days to read through the book, and a few hours to get Redford (the first stack I ever learned) down to a T.

Harry Lorayne has written some great books for developing a super-power memory.  I've enjoyed reading them and they can definitely teach you what you need.  However as you have a paypal problem I would like to offer you a couple of resources that will allow you to develop the ability to memorize a deck of cards for free - first off you have Bob Farmer's playing card memorization system, which can be found here:

https://gmmentalgym.blogspot.com/2010/10/playing-card-memorization.html#cmmnem

This was the best system for me when it came to learning how to memorize cards.  It is simple, direct and to the point, and best of all it's free.  You only need learn this and then create a journey to place the cards and you'll be in business in no time - well as quick as you wish really... you only need to put the time into playing with the images and you'll be on your way.

I have also included the introductiory chapter pdf of BAM by Bob Miller, which is freely available at his website.

On top of this you can find out more about the basics of the journey method here:  https://www.braindirector.com/what-is-journey-method-and-how-to-use-it-to-memorize/
